About Us

The Indian education system has been at the crossroads of convention and transformation. South Calcutta Inner Wheel School has emerged as a leader in engaging young minds from socio-econmically deprived background while enabling them with classroom-education.

In our City of Joy, South Calcutta Inner Wheel School has been functioning on donations for more than five decades with a unique and sustainable model. We have bettered our teaching to meet the needs of the students. We support an entire community of young school-children who would otherwise go without basic education.

Our team of dedicated teachers instill core values and character in students alongside academic study. We have introduced effective character education in our school so that students are honest, tolerant and fair, can hold their own and be integrated into the society.

We nurture the students by teaching them with conventional as well as supplemental reference materials. We communicate with the guardians so that the students can study in a safe and supportive environment in home and prepare for school. Our students have the potential to progress to Class V in Board affiliated schools, as demonstrated in the past. We have gained trust and popularity in the city as a school that counsels the children to continue with secondary education.

To aid the students reach their full potential, we have made efforts by undertaking ancillary duties:

  We provide nutritious mid-day meals

  We conduct regular health check-ups

We provide school-uniforms, books & stationery

We give joy with gifts on festivals

Help us, to create a culture of social harmony and action. Help us, to sustain an environment of academic integrity. Help us, with donations to meet the demands of a changing society and to nurture the children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
